Mark is passionate about investing in emerging leaders and building capacity in others. He offers coaching and spiritual direction to individuals and works with teams to help them develop transformational strategies in their organizations. His coaching/spiritual direction is informed by a commitment to contemplative practice; an understanding of the physicality of spiritual formation, awareness of personality dynamics, neural science and habit formation. Mark often works with clients who desire to:
Address personality-based challenges (as described by the Enneagram typology)
Become more effective as a spiritual formation practitioner
Work through faith shifts, recover from past religious trauma, and find a way forward
Navigate ministry transitions to discover more holistic and sustainable leadership path
Create a life design with better alignment of time, work, purpose and finances
Get feedback on a spiritual formation/community outreach program design
Mark and his wife Lisa, also offer coaching to couples and families who want to work on thriving as a family (based on principles from their book, Belonging and Becoming)
Mark’s approach to coaching/spiritual direction is to listen empathetically, explore where God is present in current circumstances and help the client discern next steps. Potential practices are explored and the client chooses one or two “homework” practices to try between sessions. The next session begins with a check-in on homework practices. Mark generally works with clients for 3-12 sessions meeting once a month. Pricing is sliding scale based on the resources of the client.
